Espoo, Finland -- Nokia has filed a further complaint with the United States International Trade Commission (ITC) alleging that Apple infringes additional Nokia patents in virtually all of its mobile phones, portable music players, tablets and computers.
Google Search for iPhone Hits Its Awkward Stage
Google has updated its search app for iPhone with a new interface, as well as the addition of Google Goggles. The slide'n'swipe interface features an interesting way of arranging menu items, yet the slide action feels jerky. Like its original version, the app can take you to a long list of Google Apps, yet it throws the user over to Safari rather than using the app's built-in browser, which might be smoother.

How would you change HTC's EVO 4G?
It may be America's first 4G smartphone, but if we had to guess, we'd surmise that not everyone sees it as perfect. Even if we (almost) did.HTC's EVO 4G was (and still is) a showstopper of epic proportions, boasting one of the largest screens in the smartphone universe and offering blistering speed under the hood. But with phone innovation happening faster than anyone could've ever imagined just a few years ago, we're sure that some ideas have been planted in your head since its launch earlier in the year. For those who've been toying with this here phone, we're keenly interested in learning how you'd change things if given the chance. Would you offer a 3G-only version for those uninterested in paying that extra $10 / month surcharge? Would you be a lot more satisfied with Android 2.2 loaded on? Toss it over to another carrier? Go on and get vocal in comments below, cool?

7.4-inch OLED display Sony
We await the OLED revolution to make our monster LCD HDTVs obsolete, but till the time it finally gets here we’re left covering niche devices like this, the7.4-inch PVM-740 professional monitor from Sony. It has a 960 x 540 resolution, can be connected directly to camera systems, is rack-mountable, and is said to “deliver superb high contrast, high color images, even in ambient light.” Given the $3,850 MSRP ($1,000 dearer than the consumer-oriented 11-inch XEL-1), we don’t think it going to be seen in the commons.

Motorola's rumored W7 causing us to lose faith
Motorola's rumored W7 causing us to lose faith
Okay, yes, we understand that Moto's W series of handsets is targeted at the lower end of the market -- but is that any excuse for it to be ugly? We'd like to believe that this odd little beast is fake, but we have a bad feeling that it's the real deal -- all three mismatched colors of it. Add in the oblong d-pad, the forgettable camera, and the rumor that it'll be EDGE only, and we really don't care how water resistant the sports-oriented W7 might be, we're pretty sure we don't want anything to do with it. Maybe an overwhelmingly lukewarm reaction to the leak could send it back to the drawing board, eh?

Palm launching smaller Pre-like device later this year says rumor-mill
As if we didn't have enough Pre rumors to sort through, along comes TechCrunch and Mikey A. with some hard hitting stuff. According to the TC honcho, one of his "better sources" claims that Palm is "very far along" on a second webOS device which is smaller and slimmer than the Pre and may or may not have a physical keyboard. Apparently, this won't be the iPhone 3G to the first-gen iPhone, rather a device which addresses "a different part of the market." Details are still sketchy, but Arrington claims that the "Mini-Pre" (his name) will land sometime this year -- possibly as soon as the Fall. This is all complete rumor right now, but Palm has previously said that there would be more than one webOS device, so the idea of another model in the oven doesn't exactly come as a surprise. Stay tuned for further updates as we get them.
